Proven on heavy ground and is regaining momentum - confirmed as much by finishing 4th off his current mark in a 1400m Compiegne handicap on 11 October. Not taken lightly

Blows hot and cold but has the undeniable means to fight for victory in a race of this ilk, especially on the evidence of her course-and-distance 2nd on 17 September. The horse to beat

Yet to find the frame in 18 appearances and is unlikely to trouble the judge on her return to the flat after an unsuccessful attempt over hurdles at Fontainebleau on 5 October. Can be ignored

Race Overview
TRIESTE (5) was far from disgraced last time in a better race/field over a distance short of her best and she is good value to set the record straight. Despite her recent failures, TURTLE CHOPE (4) retains the means to redeem herself by fighting for victory, especially with Maxime Guyon aboard. PETERHOF (1), efficient on this track, and HURRICANE LIGHT (2), who will get ground to suit, are also competitive for the podium.
