Second Prix d'Amerique ticket on the line this afternoon in what looks a particularly open affair following 3 high-profile defections. Barefoot this time, JUSTIN BOLD (11) put in a fine effort to run 2nd to the absent Jushua Tree in the Gr.2 Prix Doynel de Saint-Quentin late last month and a similar performance would see him prevail. He will however be pitted against Prix de Bretagne fourth, JUST LOVE YOU (13) who has already punched her ticket to the Amerique, and a barefoot JOUMBA DE GUEZ (9) who secured a pair of harness Gr.3s before running 2nd in the Gr.1 Prix Bilibili under the saddle over course and distance a week ago. Particularly fond of the main track, WORKING CLASS HERO (3) made it 2 for 2 this winter when dominating a Gr.3 here recently and steps back up in class with a good hand to play.
