Beaten only by a very good horse in a 2625m Class D at La Rochelle 11 days ago. Has inside line to contend with but is plainly in shape and, with application, can give JEAN D'HOLLENBOURG (4) a run for his money

Tends to go well when barefoot but will need to improve on last of 8, behind JIMMU DU PATURAL (5), in a 2150m Class E here on 28 October

Pleasantly-surprised when 4th of 7 finishers in a 2150m Class E here late last month. Enjoys a good draw but a repeat seems improbable

Takes on a less-exalted bunch after running 8th of 15 in a 2700m Vincennes Class E on 8 October. Has won twice racing right-handed and, if focused, can add a 3rd to his tally

Tenacious 3rd of 8 finishers in a 2150m Class E here on 28 October. Enjoys a good place behind the car and with his trainer back in the bike, must be afforded respect

Good 3rd of 15 in a 2650m Bordeaux Class F a month ago. Starts in front, will be reined by David Thomain, and has every chance of making the frame

Ran 3rd at Durtal before finishing a below-par 6th of 8, behind JIMMU DU PATURAL (5), in a 2150m Class E here on 28 October. Stays in same configuration and is unlikely to shake things up

Showed improvement when 5th of 15, a place ahead of JIMMU DU PATURAL (5), in a 2650m Bordeaux Class F a month ago. Will be fit by now and, even though drawn wide, will still have a part to play

10th of 13 in a 2500m Reims Class F last week. Not ideally-drawn but the presence of Eric Raffin in the bike is reassuring. First 5

Left a very good impression after faulting in a 2575m Agen Class F on Sunday, and if still on the boil, can redeem himself and finish close

Race Overview
After a surprisingly lacklustre run in Paris last month, JEAN D'HOLLENBOURG (4) returns to racing clockwise, with Alexandre Abrivard in the bike, and from the 4-spot can open his autumn account. The complicated but capable JERO DE PHYT'S (1), reined by cousin Matthieu, showed his form recently and, already confirmed here, must be considered the main danger. JEUNE PRODIGE (16) may not be to everyone's liking, and has been handed a rough draw, but he caught the eye at Agen and should not be underestimated. JEANNOT DU VALLON (6) made up at Bordeaux for his Hyeres blip and is well-placed to give this a good go.
