Pleases occasionally but off the boil for some time, most recently sanctioned in a 2900m Clairefontaine Class E late last month, and can be ruled out

8th of 12 in a 2150m Enghien amateurs Class F a month ago. Starts in front, with a leading driver at the helm, and has a realistic chance of making the frame this time

Last but one in a 2150m Mauquenchy Class E last week. Hard to fault when racing clockwise though and makes his Cabourg debut with a realistic chance of picking up a first-5 cheque

Excellent in 3 before oddly flopping to last of 15 in a 2800m Vichy Class F on 2 July. Most likely a blip on the radar and will be expected to bounce back and finish in the mix

2nd in an amateur event here before coming 4th of 9 in a 2900m Amiens Class F a fortnight ago. Yoann Lebourgeois reining this time and will be no easy touch

Unplaced in last 6 starts, latterly 6th of 14 in a 2600m Le Touquet Class F last Sunday, and will need to raise his game

8th of 14, on just 2nd start back, in an amateurs Class F over course and distance last Tuesday. Barefoot this time but backs up with limited ambition

Has 2 races under his belt since the break, latterly sanctioned in a 2875m Class E at Meslay-du-Maine on 21 July. Has good references at Cabourg and, despite the handicap, will generate some interest

Front shoes off after winning a 2850m Brehal Class E on 22 July. Thomain clan boasts an excellent record at the venue and looks principal danger to HOCHE (12)
